Easy to grow hardy native aster species with clusters of showy lavender to blue flowers in late summer to fall.   Similar to smooth aster, but sky blue aster has rough leaves and prefers drier soils.  Sky blue aster is an important late-season pollinator favorite.  AKA Symphyotrichum oolentangiense.
