Compared to the straight species, Ruby Star echinacea is slightly shorter with slightly larger flowers on sturdier stems.  Flowers are large, with deeply saturated purple-pink petals surrounding burnt-orange cones from in mid to late summer.  Pollinators, including butterflies, love Ruby Star echinacea.
