Sandy soils are often excessively drained and low in organic matter, so establishing nursery-grown plants can be difficult.  Use this custom-blended soil conditioner to increase soil organic matter, balance water and nutrient supply, improve water retention, boost microbial activity, and promote root development during establishment.  Sold in resealable bags (net volume: 8 US dry quarts).  Use at a rate of 1/4 cup per plug or bareroot plant, 1/2 cup per quart container, and 1 cup per gallon of nursery container size.  Combine soil conditioner with soil removed from each planting hole in a container and use the mixture as backfill.
