Upright in form and semi-evergreen, Dixie wood fern is a rare East Coast native fern for moist woodland gardens.  It will slowly form tall clumps in favorable soil, light, and moisture conditions.  This naturally-occurring hybrid is sterile, so propagation is by division of mature plants only.
