Henry Eilers sweet coneflower (a black eyed susan relative) is an aristocratic perennial prairie native - tall growing with a somewhat stiff upright form.  Blooms for a long period in mid to late summer.  Its large yellow ray flowers have a unique rolled form similar to quills.  Mature flowering plants look like fireworks in the garden!  The species can be found in moist low areas so it's well suited to rain gardens.
